Dear Parents/Carers,

Thank you to all the parents/carers who have added comments about their child’s report. It is very useful for us to how you feel about your child’s learning at our school. Your comments also mean a lot to our hard-working staff!

This is a reminder of the Attendance Policy procedure for reporting a child’s absence. Please call the office and leave a message before 9am on the first day of absence. Thereafter it is at your discretion when you update us should the absence become prolonged.

As requested by some of our parents, we have a new system in place whereby we will contact you by text should your child be absent and we have not received a message from you by 9am.

Today it was 3A’s class assembly. It was all about British Values. We Brits do love a moan but we know what makes us British and proud to be so! Everything in the assembly made me feel patriotic and glad to live in a country of free speech, tradition and relative safety.

Coffee Stop is open today! Please join us in the gym from 2:30 onwards until 3:30 for refreshments and yummy cakes. No time to sit and drink tea/coffee? Then buy some take-away cakes which are 50p each. A great way to start the Bank Holiday...

Thank you to all the parents/Carers who have used the online system to book a meeting with their child’s class teacher to discuss their learning. This is a good chance for you to discuss the Annual Report and talk to the teachers about the year so far. Class teachers will not be able to tell you which class your child will be in next year as they do not know this information yet!!

Best wishes, Margaret Greig
